Wujooh (Faces) is an independent production company based in Baghdad. It develops and produces feature films and long-form drama.«وجوه» شركة إنتاج مستقلة مقرّها بغداد. تطوّر وتنتج الأفلام الروائية والدراما الطويلة.

Mohanad Hayal مهند حيال
Mohanad Hayal has worked in cinema since 2006 as a director, writer and producer. His debut feature Haifa Street (2019) won the New Currents Award at Busan and Best Arab Film at Cairo; his films have screened at Berlin, Busan, Gothenburg, Cairo and Carthage, earning seven international and Arab awards.يعمل مهند حيال في السينما منذ عام ٢٠٠٦ مخرجاً وكاتباً ومنتجاً. نال فيلمه الروائي الأول شارع حيفا (٢٠١٩) جائزة التيارات الجديدة في مهرجان بوسان وأفضل فيلم عربي في مهرجان القاهرة، وشاركت أفلامه في برلين وبوسان وغوتنبرغ والقاهرة وقرطاج، ونالت سبع جوائز دولية وعربية.
He directed the series New Baghdad and produced The Red Zone, and was script editor and production consultant on those and on The Deep State. He co-produced the features Exam and Iraq's Invisible Beauty. He co-founded Sumerian Dream Productions and later left the company.أخرج مسلسل بغداد الجديدة وأنتج المنطقة الحمراء، وأشرف على النصوص وعمل مستشار إنتاج فيهما وفي الدولة العميقة. وشارك في إنتاج فيلمَي الامتحان والجمال الخفي. وشارك في تأسيس شركة «حلم سومري للإنتاج» ثم خرج منها.
Alongside his film work, he served as Head of Film Production at Iraq's Department of Cinema and Theatre and as a cinema advisor to the Ministry of Culture, ran two editions of Iraq's first independent film grant, and laid the foundations of the Iraqi film centre that supports independent production. He has served as Iraq's official submitter to the Academy Awards, and produced Baghdad Messi on behalf of the Ministry of Culture. He founded Wujooh in Baghdad.وإلى جانب عمله السينمائي، شغل منصب مدير الإنتاج السينمائي في دائرة السينما والمسرح، وعمل مستشاراً سينمائياً في وزارة الثقافة، وأدار دورتين من أول منحة للسينما المستقلة في العراق، ووضع أُسس المركز السينمائي العراقي الذي يدعم الإنتاج المستقل. ومثّل العراق مُقدِّماً رسمياً لدى أكاديمية الأوسكار، وأنتج بغداد ميسي عن وزارة الثقافة. وأسّس «وجوه» في بغداد.

Iraqi-Canadian producer, filmmaker and interdisciplinary artist; MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts, Media & Design, OCAD University.منتجة إبداعية وكاتبة مشارِكة في سنوات مرت من دونك، أول إنتاجات الشركة؛ ومنتجة شارع حيفا (٢٠١٩). منتجة وصانعة أفلام وفنانة عراقية-كندية، حاصلة على ماجستير الفنون البينية والوسائط والتصميم من جامعة OCAD.

Develops the company’s original stories and leads its television slate. Works as script consultant on international co-productions set in Iraq, taking a visiting writer’s draft and grounding it in how the country actually is. Lead writer of the series New Baghdad, The Red Zone and The Deep State. In journalism and television production since 2004, and a developer on several successful Iraqi productions.يطوّر حكايات الشركة الأصلية ويقود سجلّها التلفزيوني. ويعمل مستشار سيناريو في الإنتاجات المشتركة الدولية التي تدور في العراق — يأخذ مسوّدة كاتب من خارج البلد ويثبّتها في العراق كما هو. الكاتب الرئيسي لمسلسلات بغداد الجديدة والمنطقة الحمراء والدولة العميقة. يعمل في الصحافة والإنتاج التلفزيوني منذ عام ٢٠٠٤، وشارك في تطوير عدة أعمال عراقية ناجحة.

The Writers' Roomورشة الكتابة
Wujooh runs an ongoing writers' room dedicated to developing series and feature-film scripts from first concept through to a production-ready draft — story structure, character and episode architecture, and script editing across the development process.
